Senior resource to Vinge’s EU and competition law team

Vinge has recruited Marie Östman to the specialist team, EU, Competition & Regulatory.

Marie Östman joins Vinge from the Swedish Competition Authority where for the last six years she has been involved in many of the Authority’s most noted and significant cases and matters. She has extensive experience of abuse and cartel matters, concentrations, dawn raid investigations and issues concerning public sales operations.

” We are happy that Marie has chosen to rejoin Vinge and we are proud of the fact that she has chosen to continue her career with us. Marie’s considerable experience as an advokat and as a litigator at the Swedish Competition Authority has strengthened our team considerably and she is a valuable resource for the benefit of our clients,” says Johan Karlsson, head of Vinge’s EU, Competition & Regulatory team.

” It feels really great to be back in an advisory role here at Vinge. In addition to the substantive law aspects, I know how things work at the Competition Authority and the benefit of these experiences will be very advantageous for my role here at Vinge,” says Marie Östman.

Marie is a co-author of the standard work ”Competition Law – A Handbook” and has also worked as a first secretary at the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation’s competition and state aid department.

Marie has worked as a counsel at Vinge’s Stockholm office since 1 September 2016.
