Vinge advises Gotlandsbolaget in connection with off-take agreement regarding biogas

Vinge has advised Rederiaktiebolaget Gotland (Gotlandsbolaget) in connection with the entry into of a strategic off-take agreement, which secures the long-term supply of biogas for the Gotland ferry service traffic.

Gotlandsbolaget aims to offer climate-neutral crossings between Gotland and the mainland by 2045. In order to do this, large volumes of fossil-free fuels are required. Vinge has advised Gotlandsbolaget in an investment in the construction of a biogas plant outside Eskilstuna for the production of high-quality biogas and the negotiation and execution of a 10-year off-take agreement regarding the purchase and delivery of the biogas produced. As a result of this transaction, Gotlandsbolaget has taken important steps towards achieving its goal of climate-neutral crossings between Gotland and the mainland. The plant is expected to be operational in 2026.
