For the third consecutive year, Vinge tops Mergermarket’s annual league tables of Swedish law firms in M&A, both by number of completed transactions and by total transaction value, in 2025. During the year, Vinge acted on 176 transactions with an aggregate value of just over SEK 355 billion, representing a 45 per cent year-on-year increase.
“Topping Mergermarket’s league tables demonstrates the strength of our full-service offering and our ability to combine legal excellence with a strong understanding of our clients’ business objectives. This has been critical to the successful execution of complex cross-border transactions,” says Jonas Bergström, Head of M&A and Partner at Vinge.
Vinge’s Private Equity practice also recorded a particularly strong year. Christina Kokko, Partner and Head of Private Equity at Vinge, comments:
“Consistent top rankings reflect close collaboration with many active clients and a high level of engagement across the firm. This creates momentum in transactions and strong conditions for consistently high-quality advice.”
In the league table based on total transaction value, Mannheimer Swartling ranked second with a value of just over SEK 243 billion, followed by Latham & Watkins with an aggregate value slightly above SEK 241 billion. In the league table based on the number of reported transactions, DLA Piper ranked second with 114 transactions, followed by Mannheimer Swartling with 94 transactions.
Mergermarket is a leading global database and intelligence platform for corporate transactions, investments and M&A market trends. In December, Vinge was also named Swedish Law Firm of the Year at the Mergermarket European M&A Awards in London. This marked the third consecutive year the firm received the award, representing the longest uninterrupted winning streak across all 23 award categories. In total, Vinge has received the award nine times over the past eleven years.
