Mergermarket has awarded Vinge the Swedish Legal M&A Advisor of 2021.

Maria-Pia Hope, Managing Partner:

”We have experienced a very strong year, with exceptionally high transaction activity during the entire year within all segments. It is with pride and gratitude towards our clients that we once again accept the best award within Swedish M&A in the industry. We see that the excellence and broad scope of our full-service offering give us an influx of strategically challenging and complex high value assignments.”

During 2021, Vinge has been engaged in 166 transactions to a total value of EUR 52 billion. We are thus the firm which has performed most transactions to the highest total transaction value in the Swedish market during the year.

“During the year, we have acted as advisors in relation to several large transactions including, amongst others, the private equity company EQT in connection with its merger with Exeter Property Group. We have also advised Klarna in connection with the acquisition of Pricerunner, and acted as advisor to the Danish healthcare company, Coloplast in conjunction with its acquisition of Atos Medical.”

states Jonas Bergström, Head of M&A.

On the public side we advised, among others, Investor in connection with the public offer for Swedish Orphan Biovitrum and Klövern in connection with Corona Property Group’s public offer for Klövern. In addition, we also acted as advisor in conjunction with SBB’s offer for Amasten, in conjunction with Vimian’s private placement and subsequent listing, as well as in conjunction with Scandic’s offering of convertibles and extensions of pre-existing credit facilities.

”Being able to offer expertise in all corporate law areas means that we can accept assignments of different types with a high level of complexity. During the year we have seen exceedingly strong numbers, and we are, of course, very happy and proud of the trust which our clients have shown us during the year. The award is a confirmation that we, as the market leader, provide top quality legal advice within our full-service concept.”

Jonas Bergström emphasises.

The award was presented on Thursday evening at the Mergermarket’s European M&A Awards in London. The award is based on the number of completed transactions, as well as the value of the deals. Consideration is also given to the levels of the transactions’ strategy, complexity and innovation. The jury consisted of M&A experts and representatives from Mergermarket.
