Vinge Advises SJ (Statens Järnvägar) on Purchase of Trains for a Value of SEK 2 billion

SJ has reached an agreement together with Bombardier to purchase the most recent version of the Regina train, fast multiple-unit trains purposed for long-distance connections. The X2000-train will be replaced with the Regina train on a number of connections. The newly purchased Regina trains will be put in operation 2010 and are meant to operate routes between Stockholm and Värmland, Dalarna, Småland, and Trestadsregionen as well as Västkustbanan (Gothenburg – Malmö). The first delivery of the Regina train will consist of 20 trains for an approximate value of SEK 2 billion.

Vinge has advised Morrow Bank AB (publ) in conjunction with the acquisition of all shares in MedMera Bank AB from Kooperativa Förbundet for a total consideration of SEK 1,960 million. The transaction positions Morrow Bank as a leading Nordic platform in consumer finance with combined gross loans of SEK 28.2 billion.
