Angela specialises in international dispute resolution and ESG/compliance. She has represented clients in international commercial and investor-state arbitration proceedings under the ICSID, ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, and SCC rules, as well as in proceedings before the national courts in England and Sweden. She has also acted as arbitral secretary in international commercial arbitration proceedings under the SCC rules.

Angela also has significant experience in cases before international courts and mechanisms, including the International Court of Justice, the World Bank Sanctions Board, Special Procedures before the UN Human Rights Council, and in several landmark cases before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights.

Alongside her dispute resolution practice, Angela regularly advises on corporate compliance and ESG matters, especially involving human rights issues. She helps client to assess and address compliance risks, navigate EU sustainability and sustainable finance legislation, and engage with international standards on responsible business conduct. Angela is a recognised expert in business and human rights. She was a student of the late Prof. John Ruggie (the principal architect of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights) and collaborated with the Harvard Kennedy School's Corporate Responsibility Initiative on children's rights.

Between 2014-2016, Angela served as an advisor to the United Nations in New York on business and human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. From 2020-2021, she was part of the global lead team in a ground-breaking study on sustainable finance commissioned by the PRI, UNEP FI, and the Generation Foundation.
