Vinge has advised BAE Systems Bofors on the acquisition of Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad

BAE Systems is a world-leading defence group with a presence in Sweden through, among others, BAE Systems Bofors in Karlskoga, a supplier of weapon systems, artillery and ammunition. The acquisition is strategically motivated and aims to strengthen the Swedish defence industry's production capacity.

Aston Harald is a Kristinehamn-based supplier of precision-machined components for the defence and aerospace industries and has been an important supplier to BAE Systems. By integrating Aston Harald into the group, BAE Systems secures a critical part of its supply chain and increases its ability to meet the growing demand for defence systems such as ARCHER, TRIDON and the naval guns 40 Mk4 and 57 Mk3. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions.

Vinge's team consisted primarily of Jonas Bergström, Peter Sundgren, Viktor Ramhult, Johanna Barfoed, Nora Karlsson (M&A), Johan Cederblad, Stina Larsson (Environment), Louisa Fagarasan (Employment), Eva Fredrikson, Siri Blomberg, Axel Lennartsson, Malin Dejke (IT/CC), Anders Leissner (International Trade and Compliance) and Gabriel Chabo (Banking & Finance).
