Vinge has advised the energy technology company Flower Infrastructure Technologies AB (“Flower”) in the acquisition of one of Sweden's largest battery storage projects, Pajkölen, from Arise AB (publ) (“Arise”). The project, which is a 40 MW / 80 MWh Ready-to-Build battery energy storage system (BESS), is located in the Kölvallen wind farm in Ljusdal municipality. The transaction comprise all shares in Pajkölen BESS AB, which owns all rights to the project.
Vinge has, together with Kirkland & Ellis, advised Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC (“Blue Wolf”), a middle market private equity firm specializing in the healthcare and industrial sectors, in connection with the acquisition of seven manufacturing and development facilities in Sweden, France, and Spain, from Recipharm Group, a contract development and manufacturing organization (“CDMO”) headquartered in Stockholm.
The energy storage facility Bredhälla consists of batteries utilizing lithium-ion technology with a total capacity of 42,5MW /42,5MWh spread across 20 modules, making it the largest battery park in Sweden. Bredhälla will provide ancillary services to Svenska Kraftnät to ensure stability in the electricity grid and participate in wholesale markets by providing energy arbitrage.
On 28 May 2024, Asahi Kasei Corporation announced a public takeover offer to the shareholders and holders of American Depositary Shares in Calliditas Therapeutics AB (publ) (”Calliditas Therapeutics”) to acquire all shares and American Depositary Shares (each representing two shares) in Calliditas Therapeutics.
1Vision Biogas AB, a company controlled by Aneo, HitecVision and St1, has made a public mandatory bid for all shares in Biokraft International AB. The offer values the shares of Biokraft at approximately SEK 900 million. Vinge advises 1Vision Biogas.
