What are the most important rules in the event of a grounding or maritime accident? When is it possible to apply for judicial sale of a vessel? How are assets preserved when a vessel is under arrest?
These and many other questions are answered in relation to Swedish law by Vinge’s maritime law team in Gothenburg in the Swedish chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guide – Shipping Law 2025.
The chapter answers questions about maritime accidents, cargo claims, arrest of vessels and passenger claims, evidence, legal proceedings, as well as offshore wind power, foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
The working group included Ninos Aho, partner and advokat, Paula Bäckdén, counsel and advokat, Michele Fara, partner and advokat, Anders Leissner, expert in international trade and advokat, Anna Egefalk, senior associate and advokat, and Imola Szanto, associate.
