Pulsen Production acquires Borås based IT company Make IT

December 19, 2018 M&A

Advokatfirman Vinge has advised Pulsen Production AB in conjunction with the acquisition of the Borås based IT company Make IT i Borås AB from XXIT i Borås AB.

Pulsen Production is part of the Pulsen Group. The acquisition is part of the Group’s long term growth strategy and ability to strengthen the Group’s service offering within IT operation.

The Pulsen Group is Sweden’s oldest operational IT company and since its formation in 1964 in Borås it has had a strong tradition of focusing on long-term expansion. The Pulsen Group’s core business is within IT, although currently it consists of several different activities through, among other things, the companies Pulsen Integration, Pulsen Omsorg, Pulsen Production, Pulsen Fastigheter, Hjältevadshus and 21 Grams. The Pulsen Group has approximately 1300 employees and a turnover of more than 3 billion Swedish kronor. Pulsen AB is the Group parent company and the company’s registered office is situated in Borås.

“Pulsen Production grew by over 40 per cent during the last financial year and this acquisition has created preferable preconditions to continue to grow in the future. We want to be a proactive actor on the market where as a privately owned company we can be closer to and engaged with the customer’s IT operations than the alternatives which are available on the market in the form of financially owned and governed IT companies”, comments Pulsen Group’s CEO, Jonus Bartholdson.

Make IT was founded in 2000 and its head office is located in Borås. Make IT offers qualified IT operation services and has particular competence in being at the forefront of IT and new technology.

“For us as owners of Make IT, Pulsen was the obvious choice in order to give our co workers the possibility to continue to grow and be a part of a privately owned, long term IT supplier. Our companies have the same values which is a good basis on which both the employees and customers can continue to develop”, says Thomas Lantz, retiring chairman of the board of directors of Make IT.

Advokatfirman Vinge advised Pulsen Production and its team consisted of Christian Riddarbo and Jenny Sandlund.
